Notify Technology Wins Two Innovation Awards AT CONSUMER ELECTRONICS SHOW

For The Second Year in a Row, Two Notify Products Selected as Award Winners

LAS VEGAS, NV. – January 6, 2000 – Notify Technology Corp. (NASDAQ: NTFY), a leading supplier of innovative call and message notification products and services, today announced that it has been awarded two Innovations Design and Engineering Showcase Awards at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. This year’s winning products are the eView 100 and the eView 150icw, Notify’s first generation Internet voice appliances.  This is the second year in a row that Notify has won two innovation awards for its new products.

Both products took top honors in the “Telephones” category of the CES 2000 Innovations and Design Engineering Showcase Awards.  Both of Notify’s winning products will be displayed at the Innovations ’2000 Showcase booth in the Sands Expo and Convention Center and in Notify Technology’s Corp’s exhibit, located at the Las Vegas Convention Center, booth #4949, from January 6th to Jan. 9th.The eView 100 is Notify’s first generation enhanced notification device for use with its Visual Got Mail service. With the eView 100, residential and small office/home office computer users for the first time can have e-mail, voice mail and Caller-ID notification at-a-glance on one small, affordable Internet voice appliance.  The eView 150icw has all the features of the eView 100 and adds an Internet Call Waiting capability and enhanced call disposition features.

“Winning this prestigious award for two products, two years in a row is testimony to Notify’s ongoing commitment to provide innovative new products to consumers,” said Paul DePond, President of Notify Technology Corporation. “ We are excited and honored that the awards committee has recognized the innovation represented in Notify’s first generation Internet voice appliance products.”About the eView 100With the eView 100 and Notify’s Visual Got Mail service, consumers will have their e-mail accounts automatically checked periodically without turning on their computers.  The eView 100 gives notification of up to ten new e-mail messages for up to five e-mail accounts by displaying the e-mail header which includes the specific e-mail account, the sender’s name, the subject line, whether there is an attached document and the total number of messages for that account.  Users can then decide whether they want to turn on their computer and read their new e-mail messages now or wait until later. The eView 100 helps users save time from checking multiple e-mail accounts for e-mail by giving notification for up to five e-mail accounts, such as work, home and children’s e-mail accounts.  The eView 100 allows filtering of e-mail based on contents of “sender” and “subject” fields. Users can now see at-a-glance if anyone has sent e-mail as easily as checking their answering machine or voice mail.  The eView 100 also provides Caller-ID, Call Waiting Caller-ID, and voice mail notification.

About the eView 150icw

The eView 150icw combines Internet Call Waiting capabilities with e-mail, voice mail, and Caller-ID notification to create a low cost, enhanced Internet voice appliance that fits into the palm of your hand.  The Internet Call Waiting feature allows users with a single phone line to productively use Call Waiting and Call Waiting Caller-ID services while they surf the Internet.   The eView 150icw gives the user the option to answer a phone call (up to 10 seconds) while they remain online, creating a temporary “virtual second line.”Using the eView 150icw, residential and small office/home office computer users with a single telephone line will be able to briefly answer calls while maintaining their online session.  This will reduce the chances of missing an important call or fax without the user incurring the costs of maintaining a second phone line.  With the eView 150icw, consumers with Call Waiting or Call Waiting Caller-ID now have a cost-effective alternative to network-based Internet Call Waiting solutions offered as a monthly subscription service.

How Internet Call Waiting Works

With Notify Technology’s Internet Call Waiting feature in the eView 150icw, single line users now will know when somebody is trying to call them or send them a fax while they are on the Internet.  The unit provides both an audible and visual alarm to inform the user that someone is calling them.  If they subscribe to Call Waiting Caller-ID, the unit will also display the name and phone number of the incoming call.  At that time the user can either 1) ignore the call, 2) take the call for up to 10 seconds - enough time to take a message – without losing their Internet connection, or 3) decide to take the call and knowingly disconnect from the Internet.  The eView 150icw supports enhanced Call Waiting Caller-ID, Visual Voice Mail Indication, and Notify’s Visual Got Mail service (notification of new e-mail messages), providing the industry’s most comprehensive all-in-one notification solution.

"As Internet usage proliferates, consumers will demand more ways to manage their online experiences,” said Bryan Ma, analyst at International Data Corporation. "Non-PC devices in the home are one path consumers can take to access that data."
