Notify Technology Introduces Second Wireless E-Mail Product Supporting Motorola Talkabout(R) Model T900 2-way

SAN JOSE, Calif., March 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Notify Technology Corporation (Nasdaq: NTFY), an innovative communications service and software provider for wireline and wireless notification and messaging services, announced availability of its second desktop wireless e-mail product, called NotifyLink Professional Edition. Notify's desktop software has been designed for the "always on" e-mail user who wants to be able to access and manage their business e-mail in a secure format while mobile and without the need of carrying around a bulky laptop computer. Notify defines "always on" as a continuous connection to the Internet offered by cable or DSL providers or on a LAN/WAN company environment.

The NotifyLink Professional Edition software will provide users of the Motorola Talkabout(R) T900 2-way with access to their desktop Personal Information Manager (PIM) in addition to wireless e-mail notification and management. A key feature of the Professional Edition over the Standard Edition previously announced is the user's option to have their PIM information "pushed" out to the Talkabout T900 2-way based on configurable options or "real time queries" by the user. For example, a user might want their daily schedule to be sent out at specified times or be reminded of upcoming scheduled events. They might only want to be notified of changes to their existing schedule or be able to retrieve the telephone number of their next appointment from their Outlook contact list. A user might like to be reminded that certain tasks are overdue or be able to forward the list to another individual. All of these types of PIM notification and inquiry are available in the NotifyLink Professional Edition.

"Notify's Professional Edition will provide our 'always on' 2-way customers with the more sophisticated wireless functionality they have been waiting for," said Topper Pardoe, Vice President of Marketing at WebLink Wireless, a wireless carrier with the largest 2-way network of its kind covering about 240 million people in the United States. "We are already sensing that our growing base of 2-way subscribers will welcome this level of additional functionality."

NotifyLink Professional Edition is scheduled to be available in May 2001. Notify is currently testing the NotifyLink Professional Edition software with several ReFLEX carriers.

NotifyLink Professional Edition currently supports Microsoft's OutLook(TM) 97, 98 and 2000 and will run on Microsoft Windows 9X, Windows ME, Windows NT, and Windows 2000 operating systems.

                 How NotifyLink Professional Edition Software
Works For The Talkabout T900 2-way

The NotifyLink Professional Edition software is easily installed on a desktop computer connected to the Internet by a Cable, DSL, or LAN/WAN service. The software is easy to use and quickly configured. The configuration process involves the user specifying their wireless carrier, the specific e-mail accounts to be accessed by their T900, the setting of any filters to screen notifications and the Talkabout T900 2-way wireless address. The user can tailor the wireless e-mail and PIM notification information sent to the 2-way.

Once configured, the software will forward the filtered e-mail using a user defined "header". Once the "header" is received on the Talkabout T900 2-way, the user will have the option to see "more" of the e-mail body or "reply," "forward," or "delete" the e-mail and its corresponding attachments. Any action taken on the new e-mail will cause the wireless synchronization or updating of the "InBox," "Sent Items," or "Deleted Items" folders on the user's desktop. All replies and forwards to e-mails from the Talkabout T900 2-way will have the users desktop e-mail address inserted in the "from" address field and not the address of the 2-way. Also, e-mails originated from the Talkabout T900 2-way will be handled the same way. About the Motorola Talkabout T900 2-way
