Notify Technology and Motorola Sign Memorandum of Understanding for ReFLEX™  Wireless E-Mail Solutions

ReFLEX Carriers will have a robust wireless e-mail solution for all of their 2-way customers.

December 19, 2000 –Notify Technology Corp. (NASDAQ: NTFY), and Motorola Inc. (NYSE:MOT) announced today that the two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the intent to enter into a definitive license agreement that would make Notify’s wireless e-mail solution available to Motorola’s two-way messaging customers. The targeted products include Motorola’s Talkaboutä 2-way Model T900, Timeportä P935 personal interactive communicator (PIC) and Timeport P930 and PageWriter 2000X 2-way devices that have been upgraded to Motorola’s Wisdom OS.

Notify recently announced the availability of its NotifyLink Standard Edition desktop software which has been designed for the "always on" e-mail user who wants to be able to access and manage their e-mail while mobile. Notify’s new wireless desktop software currently supports Microsoft’s Outlookä 97, 98 and 2000 and will run on Microsoft Windows 9x, Windows ME, Windows NT, and Windows 2000 operating systems. Support for Outlook Express, Netscape Mail, and Eudora are currently under development.

"Motorola is very excited about our relationship with Notify," said Amy Kabcenell, Director Distribution Marketing, Personal Communications Sector, Motorola. "Our 2-way products have achieved tremendous success in the market. We are confident that the Notify wireless e-mail solution will greatly enhance our product offering."

Notify’s new desktop software will provide users with wireless e-mail notification and management and "synchronization" of all their e-mail activities performed on both the Timeport P935 and Talkabout Model T900 with their desktop e-mail.

An additional key feature of the Notify’s wireless desktop software is the support for both Triple DES and RC/4 encryption standards. This is a key security feature often required by government and large corporate users. Depending upon the type of ReFLEX device, the desktop software can be configured to utilize either encryption standard.

"The opportunity to offer Notify’s new wireless e-mail products with Motorola’s Talkabout Model T900 and Timeport. P935 2-ways is very exciting", said Paul DePond, President and founder of Notify Technology Corporation. "These products are symbiotic and will provide consumers and business users with a more feature rich, cost effective, and broader geographical coverage than the RIM Blackberry solution. This solution will be supported by all major North American ReFLEX carriers which include WebLink Wireless (NASDAQ: WLNK), MetroCall (NASDAQ: MCLL), Arch Wireless (NASDAQ: ARCH), SkyTel, Verizon Wireless (NYSE: VZ), PageNet Canada, and Bell Mobility Canada."
