Notify Technology to Provide WebLink Wireless with the First Enterprise Solution to Support ReFLEX Devices
SAN JOSE, CA – February 12, 2001 – Notify Technology Corporation (NASDAQ: NTFY) today announces it will provide WebLink Wireless (OTC Bulletin Board: WLNKA) with its new corporate mobile email solution called NotifyLink Enterprise Exchange Edition. The NotifyLink Enterprise Exchange Edition allows the business customer to maintain secure synchronized access to their corporate email, calendar, contacts, tasks, and files via a 2way data device. WebLink Wireless has selected Notify to provide them this new and innovative product. The email solution will be added to WebLink’s suite of email management services branded under the name Remote Email Manager (REM).
“Earlier versions of NotifyLink assisted WebLink Wireless in providing Remote Email Manger for consumers with ISP or web-based email as well as individuals who access email via Microsoft Outlook. Now with Notify’s Enterprise Solution, our suite of REM services is complete,” said Topper Pardoe, vice president of marketing and business development at WebLink Wireless. “We will be able to provide Remote Email Manager to a broad range of corporations that need to maintain communications with their mobile employees who use 2way ReFLEX devices," stated Pardoe. "Email management and peer to peer messaging are the top applications companies are requesting and we will be able to provide both with this product.”
NotifyLink’s Enterprise Exchange Edition, will be the first product that will synchronize critical communications housed on the corporate email server for employees using a TalkaboutTM T900, Timeport® P935 or any of the soon to be released 2way devices.
With a server-based email solution to offer corporate customers WebLink Wireless will have an additional competitive edge over other wireless carriers that do not offer an all- encompassing solution for their employees. With the increasing challenges to cut costs while maintaining communications with their mobile workforce, corporations have taken advantage of the cost- effective method of 2way data communication. The combination of ReFLEX devices and this solution will provide employees who are on a sales call or business trip the ability to immediately access important emails, forward email attachments, have calendar event notification and be able to search contacts for addresses at anytime. NotifyLink’s Enterprise Edition for 2way devices not only gives executives, sales personnel and field technicians a way to communicate important information but it provides them a way to do their job more efficiently.
“We are excited that WebLink Wireless has chosen to add our NotifyLink Enterprise Solution to their Remote Email Manager services,” said Paul DePond, president and founder of Notify Technology. “WebLink was the first to partner with Notify reselling its NotifyLink Internet and Desktop Software, and soon the addition of the Enterprise Solution will enable WebLink to provide corporations with an inexpensive, and effective solution to their mobile communication needs.”
