NotifyLink Top Tip Of The Month

If you are an On Demand customer and you are receiving an error stating that your registration email does not exist while trying to download NotifyLink to your device, you have not yet accepted the EULA agreement.  In order to accept it, log in to the Client Web Console.  You will be presented with the agreement, and once you accept it, you will be able to download the NotifyLink Client to your device.

Here is a simple fix if your device seems to be stuck on registering during the initial setup.  Log into the NotifyLink Client Web Console.  Select General > Device and hit the “Synchronize Device” button. New registration messages will be sent your device.  Do a Get/Send on the device and you should see 'Registering' change to 'Inbox.'

On Windows Mobile devices, there is now a Power Settings option in the NotifyLink Preferences menu.  If you select the Power Settings, you will get an option to "Enable Conserve Battery".  If enabled, the device will go into a sleep mode after long periods of inactivity.  This will conserve battery power.  On some devices, however, this may cause issues with synchronizing to the NotifyLink server (the device may not “wake” to synchronize).  Most devices will work with the option enabled, but if you experience problems synchronizing, disable the Conserve Battery option.

On older BlackBerry's, if you want to move the NL icon to the front, you need to change the device’s profile.  The newer BlackBerry Curves and World Editions allow you to actually move the icon by highlighting it and selecting Move from the popup menu. Then you can scroll to position it where you want it on the Home screen.
